Venom : Over The Years

Venom 2 hit the screens on 14th October 2021 in India. Those who watched it will be in frenzy because of the Post-Credit scene. Here we are not going to talk about the post scene and spoil it, we just pick the opinions on how the portrayal of Venom 'The Symbiote' has made an impression over the years among in The Marvel Cinematic Universe.

After having observed the portrayal of venom, sometimes it feels the VFX for the Symbiote in Spider-Man 3 was better than Venom/Venom 2 and it captured the terror aspect of the Symbiote better. Every time a Venom film is released, SM3 glows up that extra bit higher.

Another POV is, the comparison is unnecessary. SM3 VFX captures the terror and ugliness of the Symbiote on visual way, but that was a movie about how revenge and pride can be real monsters and the Symbiote was the representation of that, so the VFX fits.

Adding to that, with Venom/Venom 2, the Symbiote is the hero, someone you should emphasize with and, tbh, be kinda goofy, so the VFX also fit very well. Both movies are depicting 2 different Venoms with different goals.

We'll have to wait until Spiderman - No Way Home releases to know how Venom is taken further in MCU. We have seen the leaked picture of Tom Hardy wearing the production hat of SM-NWH has increased the chances of his appearance in the film. If not Spiderman vs Venom is the one we would be looking forward to.
